A plain-language guide to how EvangelIT actually works — from your first contact to caring for a whole congregation.
Accounts, sign-up, and adding the people you'll reach.
No. EvangelIT works for individual believers and for churches. As an individual you get personal outreach and discipleship tools; a church account adds a pastoral dashboard, groups, care alerts, and multiple leaders under one ministry.
Create an account, choose whether you're an individual or a church, and affirm the statement of faith. We then email you a verification link. Until your email is verified, outreach sending stays locked — this keeps the platform trustworthy for the people you'll message.
A church administrator sets up the organisation and brings members in. An admin may add someone as a ministry contact only after obtaining their consent, and the platform records who attested to that consent and when.
EvangelIT is contacts-first: you add the people you already know into Contacts, then start outreach or check-ins from there. Check-ins and outreach never silently create new contacts — you're always in control of who is on your list.
When you add someone, we ask about your relationship to them. This is a plain consent check: you're confirming you actually know this person or have their permission to reach out. It also helps the outreach sound natural and appropriate to your connection.
How conversations are carried, paced, and handed back to you.
The Digital Ministry Assistant (DMA) is the AI that carries outreach conversations in your voice across SMS, WhatsApp, and email. It starts and continues relationships, follows up faithfully so no one is forgotten, and notices when someone is moving toward a decision — always leaving the final word to you.
A persona is the named voice your outreach speaks in — a real ministry identity rather than a faceless bot. Personas keep DMA conversations feeling personal and consistent, and they protect the natural feel of the relationship. As the shepherd, you see journey summaries rather than mining every message.
For individuals, outreach follows a cadence you choose: weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Each contact receives at most one automatic message per cadence window, so no one feels crowded. Church accounts are paced by their plan's monthly allowance instead.
Always. You can write and send your own message to a contact at any time, which goes out immediately regardless of cadence. You can also take over a conversation entirely — once you have the wheel, the DMA stops auto-replying so the thread is fully yours.
US mobile rules (TCPA/10DLC) require recorded consent before we can text a +1 number, so until that consent is on file we won't send SMS there — you can reach the person by email or WhatsApp instead, or they can text you first to open the door.
Because WhatsApp requires businesses to use an approved template for the very first message, EvangelIT sends a short, pre-approved introduction to open the conversation. Once the person replies, a 24-hour window opens in which the DMA can chat freely and naturally.
Tending the people already in your care.
Check-ins are warm, regular pastoral touch-points — a caring message that asks how someone is doing and invites them to share. You can choose the style and question focus, from general encouragement to prayer, scripture, or life updates.
When a reply signals that someone is struggling — stress, loss, crisis, or a wobble in faith — EvangelIT raises a care alert so a real person can respond with compassion. It's there so a quiet cry for help never slips past unnoticed.
Group check-ins only send to members who have a real contact record, have given consent, and haven't opted out; everyone else is skipped and reported honestly as skipped — never counted as sent. You always see a true picture of who was reached.
Tools for going deeper in the Word and in gifting.
It's a short questionnaire that weighs your answers across the spiritual gifts and highlights where you appear to be strongest. The result lives on your profile as a starting point for serving — a prompt for prayer and discernment, not a verdict.
You can capture prayer requests, keep track of them, and follow up over time. When God answers, you mark the request answered and can record the testimony, so answered prayer is remembered and celebrated rather than forgotten.
EvangelIT offers daily devotionals suited to where someone is in their walk, and a Bible explorer for searching and reading Scripture across multiple translations. Together they help new believers and seasoned saints stay in the Word.
What recipients see, and who can see what.
Every outbound message identifies the sender, addresses the person by their first name, and includes clear opt-out instructions. There are no hidden senders — people always know who is reaching out and how to stop.
Reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to opt out instantly across every channel; we confirm and cancel anything scheduled. Reply START to opt back in, or HELP for program information. Where a number can't reply (some international routes), the message carries an opt-out link instead.
Yes. You can export your data from settings, and you can delete your account, which begins a 30-day grace period before everything is permanently removed. This is built to honour privacy laws such as GDPR.
DMA conversations are kept private by design, surfaced to you as journey summaries rather than an open feed. In a church, data is scoped to your organisation — leaders see only their own ministry's contacts, and individuals see only their own.
Plans, currencies, trials, and managing your subscription.
Churches can choose Small Fellowship (free), Growing Church, Established, or Large/Network as their ministry grows, and individuals start free with an optional Pro upgrade. Higher tiers add more contacts, messaging allowance, groups, analytics, and support.
